Backround:
Originally from her home world which was populated by nothing but nekos, Geist showed an amazing aptitude for science and technology. one day she found a way of contacting a passing cargo ship and was able to barter her way off world. shes never been able to return and because she never really knew where that cargo ship was headed she doesn't even truly know where her home world is.
after several years of taking odd jobs she met a scientist that was experimenting with nanos. after an accident in the labs while helping him the nanos got into her. helping her healing and speed they also extended her life by keeping her organs refreshed. between the nanos and time spent in hyper sleep chambers Geist has lived for almost 200 years but only 75 of those have been awake. with the nanos help she still has the body of a 20 year old.
several years after the accident while looking for work she found the talon with its captain Arachnia. interested in getting off the station she was at she talked with Arachnia and joined the crew as a basic crew member but soon that same aptitude for science that once set her apart from the others on her home world came out in daily work and soon she was promoted to the ships science officer.
today shes a strong neko with her full loyalty to the ship. she feels her traveling from ship to ship and job to job is over now and that the ship is her home. in her travels shes seen a lot and been through many things, the information she carries has helped the ship and its crew in the past and will continue to in the future.
