Space Colony Necronom VI

Your place for abductions, slave trade and monsters

Hell how come noone bothered to start a thread about videogames? I know you play them, because i watch you and everything you do, whereever you go! YES YOU!!

So anyways, me, ive been trying to finish some games before my computer broke down, i finally got through dead space after letting it rest for a year, which is pretty much doomed ship as big commercial game, i cant recommend it enough.
another game i cant recommend enough from this year is batman arkham asylum, game of the year in my humble opinion, its like all good games thrown into a bowl and mixed together into one perfect package of gaming goodness!
and then theres policenauts which is an old PSX title produced by hideo kojima of MGS fame, which was finally translated into english recently and features a scifi setting on a space station with many interesting ideas that are surely worth a thought for necronom.

but of course now im trapped on my crappy laptop, so ive been checking out nice indie games, anyone heard of machinarium? a stylish old school type adventure.
and i guess if this goes on much longer ill sit down and finally finish persona 3, which ive put aside for ages as well.

alright, i demand discussion.

Empire Total War is distracting me a lot lately, as is Prince of Persia which is addictively fun.

I've played Rome: Total War and can totally see why it's been distracting ya. Played it a while back in the good ol' days of free time, and have to say that you do lose track of time way too much.

Ive been playing alot of games aside from not being on SL o.o

That and I've been playing the crap out of Batman as well (Working on beating all the challenges.. Ranked in the 1500's in the Insane fight Pack ^_^).. that game freaking owns.

Dirt 2 is neat if you like car games.. its alot of fun. Yay playing in the dirt!

Blaz Blue is awesome for a fighting game.. Love it to death Dx

AND I finally beat FEAR 2 which left me horribly scared for life.. And the expansion mission made me go O.o?

Looking forward to Dragon Age: Origins.. Many hours of my time into that game coming up..
Plus Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 O.O

Yay games! \o/

I've heard a bit about Machinarium, looks okay.

Still, I'm planning on picking up Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. That game looks sick as hell. As for gaming recently... Well I found out that I suck at all the instruments in Rock Band, so I've been put on mic duty by my buddies. I may not be the next American Idol, but I find that I put on an epic (and hysterical) rendition of Eye of the Tiger.

Been playing KH:Days when I'm not on the computer, then there's free MMO games such as Manga Fighter, Exteel, and A.V.A. that I play when not on SL. My main genres are RPG and Strategy though.

Mass Effect was a neat game. Lots of ways to interact with people and story.

I tried Sims 3, but haven't got very far into it. Doesn't add very much over the second one, least not at this point (and you can't create lots 0_o). I think the Dragon Age game looks cool too. Might try an MMO after christmas or something.

I'm pretty limited as far as games go. I've got a PS2 that I turn to when I'm burnt out on computer stuff. Been replaying Okami, Soul Calibur III, The Bard's Tale (absolutely hysterical) and a new one I picked up, Eternal Poison (which is hard to play, but well worth it).

My "let's see how I can pass the time" staples also include Tetris Worlds and Amplitude. I just don't have the money to buy new games or the consoles or have the internet speed to support the PC versions.

If I'm sticking with PC games, I go old school and grab my copy of Lords of Magic -- the land gets flattened by my dragon army. But that's generally only something I do when I'm really pissed off. n.n

I play Guild Wars from time to time, but I always stick with my classic emulators and play these old school classics from the Sega Genesis, Super NES, Master System, Game Gear, Game Boy... ahhh, the good ol' times.

I also spend some time in my Nintendo DS, Scribblenauts is totally crazy and the Sonic RPG is cool. And Tetris DS is.... FRIGGIN' AWESOME!

I enjoy PC gaming... but GNU/Linux is not keen on the blockbuster games out there, but Chromium BSU and Flight Gear really fit my needs!

yay for emulators, theres always some games that need to be replayed every few years, thats also something i can do on my laptop fortunately.

scribblenauts is pretty fun, but i hate the controls so much i kind of lost intererest, in the end the title screen is the most fun part about the game. And also I've been playing KH:Days, which has ben strangely fun even due to the total lack of story or character development.

Oh yeah and Okami, I sitll have to finish that one too, I need to find all those beads before i can finish it...

I was tempted with pre-ordering Borderlands and Tropico 3. Tropico 3 might win.
