Event Description

The citizens of Splintered Rock have noticed a creature unlike anything they've ever seen before in the wilderness, raiding supplies, such as explosives and trap-making materials, as well as foodstuff and cloth. Whatever it's doing, it can't be good.

Meanwhile, several weeks earlier at the quarentined Space Colony Necronom IV, the G-Bar's personal slave, Xerberus, was escorted onto a frieghter ship and managed to get taken from the Space Colony, her current whereabouts unknown.

With both reports sitting on the CMC's desk, they both seem unconnected. Until the photo above made it to the G-Bar's staff, and was reconized by several staff members as the missing slave.

Now, a mixture of various mercinaries and locals, the search is on. But where is the elusive Thrull, and what's more, what is she planning with all those high-power weapons?

-End of IC-

The gist of the event is to finish- or continue- the case of Xerberus's kidnap/escape, with the goal to capture Xerberus, alive or at least close enough to medically revive her. All those wishing for combat, trap negotiation, and other forms of roleplay please apply.

This will be a cross-over with the Shattered Rock folks, thus the group will meet the locals at the refinery after transport to the G-Bar.

After we got Xerberos to back we agreed to let Claire do a mind scurb for Xerberos. I was disappointed about the fact she didn't know about missing stock so we're in dire need of new directions here. My finance suffered considerably but I paid 5,000 credits to each party member.

Wow, I'm getting blamed for getting damages to the refinery. Kudos to Vooper for advertising like that X3

"Drone that was following my hovercraft took this picture from mid-flight. It showsGeonemotodium arraknis a sand worm locals call Shai'Hulud. Guide to Galaxy tells these creatures resemble sea lamprey
and they are known to be virtually indesctructible and it's not know if their lifespan ends in some point. Their habits are known that they eat sand plankton and small spice harvesters about the size of office buildings." Their cellural structure is ring based and regenerating so any sure way to kill the worm is to administer electric shock to all of the rings. Only thing poisonous to them is water, but it's too short supply in Splintered Rock to be used that way. "

Day 11- Some strange sorta creature has slid into my room out of a crack in the floor. The blackish skin sends chills up my spine, and when I touched it, it grabbed me and... well, let's not go there. At least it stopped bugging me after it let me go, let's hope it doesn't stay though.

Day 13- Seems I screwed up somehow, managed to hear this over the radio while gathering more supplies...

NEWS: Alien sightings! - Landing Pad workers and Spice miners out in the desert have both reported seeing a strange being. It has been decribed variously as winged, insect-like, having death-ray eyes, travelling in a highly advanced vehicle and carrying what seem to be like spears on it's back. Citizens are warned to stay away from the creature if they sight it. There is talk of a 'hunt' for the creature being organised but local law enforcement is advising against citizens 'taking such matters into their own hands'. More information can be found on the Ning here: http://splintered-rock.ning.com/events/the-hunt-for-xerberus

I almost laughed at the more ludricous portions of the description, but still, if they're gonna search for me, I must be ready. Most of the trap-making supplies I've gathered up now, so all that's needed is for me to sit... and wait... either way, I should be ready. Everything's packed, and I set up my last little lines of defense today. Sucker was heavy, and took a few moments to find the ammo feed. Either way, think I may be set for this 'hunt'....

I made a IC trip to that sim and saw that it's freeform much like necronom. They are not fanatics here so furries and stuff are ok. Dress code is free though desert enviroment screams for proper dressing. SR is a
survival sim, that means you can get dehydrated if you wear a free meter.
Combat is RP:ed, though you can rez things and shoot as much as you like.
Water is scarce and can be aquired from windtraps (or bought from bazaar). You can solve the code of windtrap and rez cantine (literpak)
to ground and actually put drops of water inside.

I know all of you are not really interested in HUDs. This one makes possible of spice harvesting and playing the results of dehydration. When you're dehydrating you start to loose vitality. When that's zero you're
unconsicious. I think enviromental suit from shop would help this.
It's up to you if you decide not to wear the meter. Realistically speaking
anything else than full closed armor would lose water and even
those that are recycling your... stuff need refill from time to time. I'm
suggesting that you wear the meter when you enter the desert.
One of things that might come as suprise is that one of factions in Splintered Rock is CMC, Justine in helm ;)

Day 2- Explored Spaceport area. Got noticed by someone. Seemed to be the local constable, if my memory of uniforms serves me any. Hope I didn't hold too well to memory, so that it doesn't get back to Necro...

Day 5- Ran into one of the locals that originates here. Seems they're a tad miffed at all the spice mining, and they want to get back at the goverment in the city I landed in. Refuging with them for a while, though the science group they work with gives me the creeps. Reminds me too much of Omega....

Day 7- Found large cave network in the vicinity of my refuge. Gonna expore it a bit. I'm starting to get a small idea of how I'm keeping here at least. Though this may mean some trips back to the town for supplies....

"I can rise compensation for container 20,000 credits. For Xerberos you need to ask the station management or even big man himself what the compensation will be."

"G-bar offers 10,000 credits for capturing the container that had stock of C2H5OH inside of it... The container was reported missing from storage at ame time Xerberos left the station. You don't need to be rocket scientist to figure out Xerberos had codes to that storage. I suppose station will pay something for Xerberos too.."
